Have you ever been in a situation where you have no intention to do something but a group of people, let's say your friends, keep talking you into? You know you can resist, but you're gonna feel bad for them if you keep on saying no, so at last you did it. Peer pressure, eh? Yes, that's awful.
Well in my case, it wasn't a bad thing. It was totally harmless, but it was just not my type of thing. So no worries. Just a simple contemplation when I walked home :) It's just that when i'm walking all by myself after a long day, random things could pop up in my mind and it makes me wanna write something here.
As a matter of fact, peer pressure is not always a bad term. It can be a good thing when it induces you into doing something good :)
By the way...I've been receiving comments on some of my posts lately. So thank to whoever reads my blog. Thanks for spending even the slightest fraction of your time to read mine, and do feel free to speak out what you wanna speak. I would love critiques that would assist me in doing this better ;)

Now or Never
"Now or Never" is indeed a hard case.
It's like you have a hesitance that this might be wrong, but if you don't make a move when it's right, you'll definitely miss a big big opportunity.

True Colours
All I want is someone who discovers and embraces my true colours, encourages my strength, and accepts every bit of my weaknesses.
* * *
I know that to strangers, sometimes i appear to be the kind of person who's rather awkward and hard to express her feeling, and I'm certain that i'm not the only one in this world. But to my family, friends, and those closest to me, they know that i'm insane. And deeply inside, I am a warm-hearted and easy-going person even though i often catch myself overthinking stuffs that are just impossible. My mind can be complicated at times and it wanders a lot. It's not a bad thing though, cuz it means i'm not short-minded, doesn't it? ;)
One important thing that i know i gotta do when i have kids one day (See? My mind starts to wander so far already, huh?), is to always encourage, appreciate, and tell them to express their ideas freely, 'cause i don't want them to be introvert and bound by their surroundings. It was only one week ago when i watched this family-comedy-genre movie called "Parental Guidance". It's somewhat inspiring to see that the mother always boost their imagination, for example, in drawing, and never discourage them by telling "it's awful" even though the picture is really really bad. (The "imaginary friend" doesn't make sense, though). But i'm not telling that this is the rightest way to nurture children. For me, suitable compliments is essential to encourage, but constructing critics are also vital. Well it's nice and worth-watching to take away your stress for a while, and especially engaging because it compares different styles of nurturing children.
Then, what I want to emphasize in this post is to not be discouraged. Each of us has our strength and weakness. And people often shun away because of what they lack, but they never really give themselves chances to discover, let alone, enhance their potential. So starting from today, let's stop looking down on ourselves and be motivated 'cause life is not forever!

Welcoming 2013
Hellooo
How's everyone enjoying the holiday?
Have you guys made your 2013 resolutions? :D
It's the last day of the year and I'm leaving hometown early tomorrow cuz my new uni trimester starts at 2nd Jan.
So fast uhhh...but i guess almost all of my cravings in the must-eat list that i made before coming back home had been fulfilled ;)
I've been so embraced by my friends & family here, and each day has been a good day.
But there are so many things waiting for me in SG :)
Hope 2013 will be a good good year and surely be better than 2012.
Life is always filled with ups and downs, but I hope in 2013 the ups will outweigh the downs, and through the downs we will learn harder, work harder, go further and higher, yet remain grateful for whatever we are gifted.
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013
Better person, better life, better year.
Cheers,
Freda

:D
Above
is the theme song of a Singaporean movie called “Ah Boys to Men”. The song is rather
catchy and you’ll laugh everytime you listen to it (if you have watched the
movie). LOL.
I
watched it with 4 of my mates and the movie is damn funny.
“Ah
Boys to Men” is a movie about a group of young people who were just about to join
the NS (National Service). The story is entertaining and real (i mean not the war, but how the people behave) :D
Even
though I’m not a singaporean, i can get the whole story because my local friends had talked much to me about their army experience before.
Haha. For them, this movie is so nostalgic and kinda reminds them of the
time they were in Tekong. :)

Little Things
Have you ever noticed that it's often the "little things" that make lasting impression on you?
It's often the "little things" that make your day..
It's often the "little things" that cheer you up when you're down..
It's often the "little things" that excite you..
But also it's often the "little things" that piss you off to the max..
And it's often the "little things" that bring you disappointment..
So never underestimate "little" :)

Here I introduce the song called "Little Things" by One Direction :
P.S. What written above has no connection with the lyrics of this song
